Lower, Eger Lead Chargers Past Wolfpack for 1st Victory

MADISON, Wis. — The Carl Sandburg College women’s basketball team earned its first win of the season 59-49 on Saturday at Madison behind big performances from Mattie Lower (Aledo, Ill./Rockridge) and Addison Eger (Mendon, Ill./Unity).

Eger scored a season-high 24 points and has had at least 22 points in each of the Chargers’ three games this year. Lower was a force on the defensive end, collecting 10 blocks while also scoring five points.

Abbey Donaldson (Bushnell, Ill./Bushnell-Prairie City) added 10 points for the Chargers (1-2), who led 27-22 at halftime.

Brianna Hendricks had 18 points for the Wolfpack (0-5).
